Minister Dacic underlined that there were no contentious issues between Finland and Serbia. On the contrary, bilateral and economic relations were on a constant upswing, also having in mind several important investments made by Finnish companies in Serbia.

The two Foreign Ministers also discussed Serbia's progress in the European integration process, while Minister Dacic thanked his colleague for the support that Finland lent to Serbia on its European path.

The Ministers agreed that owing to its progress towards the European Union, Serbia contributed not only to the positive development of the country itself, but also to the stability of the entire region.

Minister Soini congratulated on Prime Minister Vucic's victory in the Presidential election, which was another proof that the Serbian people recognized the success achieved by the Government of Serbia in the past period. The Finnish Foreign Minister reiterated his country's support to the future work of both the President and the Government of Serbia in the coming period, which would bring, in these challenging times for the whole world, many major and fundamental challenges for Serbia, too.
