Presentation of the book "Fairy Tales of Serbia", collected and saved for posterity by Vuk Stefanovic Karadzic in his time, was held at the "Manege" Central Exhibition Hall in St. Petersburg. The book was translated and edited by the former Russian Ambassador to FR Yugoslavia Valery Yegoshkin, with sponsorship of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Moscow, Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Russian Academy of Arts.

Illustrations in the book include the winning drawings at the 3rd International Competition "Fairy Tales from Serbia through Children's Eyes" held within the project "Fairy Tales from Russia and the Whole World through Children's Eyes", which was organized by the RF Association of Artist Pedagogues. Competition participants included approximately 3500 children attending Russian schools worldwide who all had an opportunity to read the best Serbian popular fairy tales.

The book's editor and translator, Mr. Valery Yegoshkin, as well as First Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia Ranko Pavlovic talked about the book.

After the culture and art programme performed by Moscow's "Golden Gates" sing and dance company, prizes, i.e. medals and plaques, were awarded to competitors at a ceremony which, in addition to the organizers, included participation of First Counsellor of the Serbian Embassy Ranko Pavlovic and officer of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Serbia in St. Petersburg, Nemanja Zivkovic.
