Ivica Dacic"Hashim Thaci continues with his provocations. Following the fiasco of his idea to form the so-called Kosovo Army and the related law having been withdrawn from procedure under pressure from the international community, Thachi has immediately attempted to turn the attention of the domestic public away from it to another topic – making a genocide case against Serbia.

Thaci knows full well that this will come to nothing, because the so-called Kosovo is not a member of the United Nations and as such has no capacity to bring a case concerning the application of the Genocide Convention before the International Court of Justice, based in The Hague.

In particular, it is a fact that Serbia did not commit genocidal acts in Kosovo, and that it was the KLA/UCK, instead, which perpetrated acts of genocide against the Serbs. This is also reflected in the data showing that there are now fewer Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija than prior to 1999.

Besides, even the ICTY and its prosecutors have never filed genocide charges against Serbia, and a Specialist Court for crimes committed by the KLA has been established instead. Therefore, it is the KLA criminals who will go to trial and not Serbia", stated First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic.
