Serbia – Macedonia Foreign Ministries hold security policy consultations |

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Macedonia held bilateral consultations on security policy, at the invitation of the Macedonian side, in Skopje, on 28 March 2017.
The two Ministries' delegations, led on the Serbian side by Acting Assistant Minister for Security Policy Ambassador Branimir Filipovic and by Director General for Political and Security Cooperation at Macedonia's Foreign Ministry Mira Krajachikj, exchanged views on a number of issues relevant for the security situation in the region and the current security challenges. In addition to that, the two delegations discussed the two countries' cooperation on security policy, as well as the overall regional situation in the Western Balkans, i.e. the two countries' relations with NATO and their activities within the Partnership for Peace programme, the European integration process of the two countries in the context of European Foreign, Security and Defence Policy, as well as activities in the field of arms control and non-proliferation. It was agreed that the next round of consultations on security policy matters be held in the second half of 2017. |
