On the occasion of Egyptian Foreign Service Day, on the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Cairo, a meeting was organized between a group of Ambassadors representing European countries, and Egyptian Ambassador Dr Hussein Hassouna, who discussed with his interlocutors the relations in the region and ways to overcome crises.

Ambassador Hassouna was the last Ambassador of Egypt to the SFRY, from 1989 – 1992, and is currently regarded as one of Egypt's most eminent international law experts, serving his third term on the UN International Law Commission.
