First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received Assistant Director-General and Regional Representative for Europe and Central Asia of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Vladimir Olegovich Rakhmanin, who is on a visit to Serbia attending the Conference to launch the project "Contribution of Sustainable Forest Management to a Low Emission and Resilient Development" (Belgrade, 21-22 February), co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia and the FAO.

Minister Dacic and Mr. Rakhmanin discussed main lines of cooperative efforts between the FAO and the Republic of Serbia, as well as projects, both ongoing and those in the pipeline, particularly taking note of the prospects for promoting the cooperation and a stronger presence of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in the Republic of Serbia.
