Minister Dacic meets Matthew Palmer of U.S. Department of State |

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Matthew Palmer, Director for South Central European Affairs at U.S. Department of State, who is on an official visit to Belgrade.
In the talks, both sides estimated that relations between the two countries were good with a perspective of further rise. They underlined readiness to continue political dialogue and regular contacts at all levels relevant for the promotion of overall bilateral cooperation. The interlocutors thanked Minister Dacic for his visit to Washington D.C., where he attended the 65th National Prayer Breakfast in early February. Both sides noted that preserving stability and strengthening cooperation between the Western Balkan countries were key for the prosperity of all the states in the region. Minister Dacic reiterated that one of the most important goals of the Republic of Serbia was to foster good relations with the neighbours and preserve regional stability, and expressed readiness of our country in this context to continue to approach this issue in an open and constructive manner, as it had done so far. U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott also attended the meeting. |
