New York: Fourth memorial conference dedicated to Nikola Tesla |

A memorial conference dedicated to Nikola Tesla "Wireless Transmission of Electric Energy - Tesla Laboratory Colorado Springs" was held for the fourth time, at New Yorker Hotel. The conference was organized by the Tesla Science Foundation, under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York. The conference is traditionally taking place at New Yorker Hotel, where Tesla spent his final years.
The event was attended by many Tesla admirers from various fields of science, who spoke about the legacy of the great scientist and his immeasurable importance. The conference wound up by deserving individuals, including Consul General of the Republic of Serbia Mirjana Zivkovic, receiving occasional awards. This year's conference had an international character, since Ms. Olivia Paranos from Athens was promoted as the new President of the Tesla Science Foundation Responsible for International Cooperation. Nikola Loncar, the Founder and President of the Tesla Science Foundation thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York for their support. Consul General Mirjana Zivkovic recalled in her address the life of the ingenious Serbian and American scientist, who became an honorary citizen of the world, owing to his inventions. Ms Zivkovic thanked everyone working to help preserve the life and work of Nikola Tesla. |
