The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia requested that Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Republic of Albania Xhelal Fejza be summoned to the Ministry, where a verbal protest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia was communicated to him, because the state flag of R. Serbia had been walked over in front of the French Embassy in Tirana. The Ministry requested that the authorities of the Republic of Albania find the perpetrator, punish him under Albanian laws, and inform the Ministry on the outcome of the process. The perpetrator had been identified.

The Charge d'Affairs a.i. of the Albanian Embassy expressed his regret over the said incident, saying that Serbia's reaction would shortly be conveyed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania.
