Minister Dacic meets the new Ambassador of Morocco to Belgrade

amb Maroka_2First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Serbia, Mohamad Amine Belhaj.

Welcoming the new Ambassador, Minister Dacic expressed his gratitude for the principled position of the Kingdom of Morocco regarding non-recognition of the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo, expressing his expectation that the Moroccan support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia and its efforts aimed at peaceful resolution of the issue of Kosovo and Metohija through dialogue, would be continued.

Noting that the relations between the two countries had been traditionally good, Minister Dacic expressed his confidence that the Ambassador would continue the activities towards enhancing cooperation in all areas of common interest, underlining that in pursuing these efforts the Ambassador could count on the support of all institutions in Serbia.

The interlocutors agreed that it was necessary to intensify high-level political dialogue and promote cooperation, particularly in the economic area.
