The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation, headed by the Acting Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Security Policy, Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, participated in observer status at the Ministerial Meeting of the US – Adriatic Charter (A5), held in Zagreb, from 15-16 December 2016.

This Meeting comes last in the series of events held in the framework of Croatia's annual Chairmanship of this regional initiative. Next year's A5 Chairmanship will be handed over to Macedonia.

The Meeting reviewed the political and security situation in the South East Europe region, including the current security challenges facing Member and Observer States of this regional initiative.
