The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to Washington D.C. and the Office of the Defense Attaché organized a program, exhibition and a reception on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary since the completion of Operation Halyard.

The event was attended by the officials of the Pentagon, Department of State, and the descendants of survivor airmen and operatives. The attendees were addressed by Ambassador Djerdj Matkovic, former U.S. Defense Attaché and founder of Halyard Mission Foundation John Cappello, while Ms. Xenia Wilkinson spoke on behalf of the airmen's families. On the occasion, two documentaries about the Halyard Mission and the State Partnership Program between the Republic of Serbia and the Ohio National Guard were screened. An exhibition of photographs dedicated to the military operation, provided by the Halyard Mission Foundation, was mounted at the foyer of the Embassy.
