First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Axel Dittmann signed today the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Federal Republic of Germany on the performance of gainful activities by dependants of diplomatic and consular mission staff.
"I am pleased that today I have signed with Ambassador Dittmann an agreement on the performance of remunerated activities by family members of diplomatic and consular mission staff, which will allow the families of our fellow diplomats and diplomatic assistants to continue to develop professionally and to build their careers," said the Serbian Foreign Minister after the signing ceremony. He emphasized that the Republic of Serbia had signed this agreement with fourteen other countries. Minister Dacic estimated that the relations between Serbia and Germany were good, that they were reflected in intensive cooperation and numerous contacts at the highest level, and the fact that only this year five major agreements had been signed, with the aim to further deepen and enhance the cooperation between the two countries. "This year we have established the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and signed the Agreement on security cooperation. Ambassador Dittmann and I, in addition to today's agreement, signed agreements on financial and technical cooperation worth over 20 million euro. I am confident that such good cooperation will reflect positively on the broader aspect of our bilateral relations." The Serbian Foreign Minister announced that he would be travelling to Germany for the OSCE Ministerial Meeting to take place on 8 and 9 December in Hamburg. Minister Dacic reiterated that during last year's OSCE Chairmanship by Serbia, as well as this year, when the Organization is chaired by Germany, he had good cooperation with his German counterpart Steinmeier. |
