Ambassador Filipovic and Lieutenant General Portolano discuss further enhancement of cooperation between Serbia and NATO |

Acting Assistant Minister for Security Policy Ambassador Branimir Filipovic received today Lieutenant General Luciano Portolano, Chief of Staff of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
Lieutenant General Luciano Portolano is on his first official visit to the Republic of Serbia since assuming new duties. Further enhancement of cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and NATO through the Partnership for Peace Programme (PfP) and the current security situation in the region and in Kosovo and Metohija featured in the talks. Interlocutors noted, inter alia, that the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) between the Republic of Serbia and NATO created a broader framework for further solidification of the political dialogue and the development of tangible cooperation in all areas of joint interest. Ambassador Filipovic highlighted that the Republic of Serbia respects and supports the mandate of KFOR, which aims to ensure safe and secure surroundings for all the inhabitants of Kosovo and Metohija, and he also acquainted his interlocutor with the latest developments in the dialogue maintained between Belgrade and Pristina. |
