Minister Dacic in talks with Peter Due |

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Peter Due, Director of Asia, Middle East, Europe and Latin America Division at the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations, who is on his regular visit to the region.
Minister Dacic conveyed his expectation that the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) would continue to operate in its full capacity under its mandate pursuant to UNSC Resolution 1244. In the talks, the two officials assessed the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the work of UNMIK and further engagement in areas crucial to the survival and a normal and dignified life of Serbs and persons belonging to other non-Albanian communities in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the Mission's significance in assisting with the implementation of agreements reached in Brussels. The contribution of the Republic of Serbia to UN peacekeeping missions and operations was also underlined in the talks. |
