The Hague: Documentary film about Milunka Savic at 8th Tino Prins Documentary Film Festival |

At the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in The Hague, a documentary film about Milunka Savic, directed by Ms. Sladjana Zaric, was screened at the 8th Tino Prins Documentary Film Festival dedicated to WWI, which was held in De Meern, on 22 October 2016.
Before the screening of the documentary, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in the Netherlands Petar Vico addressed the audience. After brief remarks about the life of Milunka Savic, the Ambassador introduced the audience with the importance of WWI for the Republic of Serbia, as well as with the fact that the then Serbia had lost almost one fourth of its population. Furthermore, the Ambassador pointed out that some Dutch nationals had helped the Serbian fight for freedom, both in the 19th century and in the Great War. |
