First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic signed today the Book of Condolence at the Embassy of Israel, opened following the demise of Israel's former leader Shimon Peres.
"Shimon Peres was one of those statesmen to whose name one needn't have added titles and functions, for it was in his lifetime that he became an institution in himself, and one of the symbols of his people and his state, to whose establishment and building he dedicated his whole life. It was and remains sufficient only to say Shimon Peres. Israeli Minister, Prime Minister, President and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, who realized that the interests of your own people are best defended when you think about other peoples and the mankind, too, thus forever remaining on the bright side of history. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, my diplomats and myself, I extend the expressions of condolences to the family, colleagues at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and to everyone in Israel and in the world, who will miss Shimon Peres", reads the message of condolences that the Serbian Foreign Minister inscribed into the Book of Condolences. |
