otvaranje debate_njujork_21920164First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic attended in New York the opening of the general debate of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly on "The Sustainable Development Goals: a universal push to transform our world".

On the margins of the general debate yesterday, Minister Dacic had highly successful bilateral meetings.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy had separate meetings with Foreign Minister of Palestine Dr. Riad Al-Malki, Foreign Minister of Iraq Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari, and also Foreign Minister of Morocco Salaheddine Mezouar.

Minister Dacic yesterday in New York also met with U.S. Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Sarah Sewall.

y.Serbia undoubtedly wants peace and will do everything in its power to maintain stability, but will certainly not allow a military attack on and destruction of the Republic of Srpska. Nobody should even dream about that.

Serbia is strong enough to defend itself and will not allow the destruction of the Republic of Srpska, either, if it comes under attack. We expect an urgent reaction from the international community and international representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, if they truly care for peace", said Minister Dacic.
