dacic-tanjug2First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic condemned most strongly the attack on the U16 players from the "Partizan" water polo club, who were participating at an international tournament in Zagreb, and in which incident one of the players suffered severe injuries.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs demands that an urgent investigation be conducted and that the perpetrators of this act be identified and brought to justice. Also, an uninterrupted and safe continuation of the tournament and stay in Zagreb must be ensured for the U16 water polo players from "Partizan". To this end, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia requested that they be urgently provided with information on the incident.

Unfortunately, these incidents are a reflection of the existing anti-Serb sentiment in Croatia. Serbia is firmly committed to contributing to the positive atmosphere in our relations in the interest of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
