First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic congratulated today the Serbian women's national volleyball team, the Serbian Olympic Committee and the Volleyball Federation of Serbia on winning the silver medal at the Rio Olympics 2016.

You have delighted the citizens of Serbia with your excellent play and dedication. I enjoyed watching the thrilling match you played with our traditional friends.

The Finals of the Games, which I watched together with my dear friend Ambassador Li Manchang, reminded us both of the importance of the competitive spirit which is the most prominent in your sport, since there is no direct contact with the opposing team. Your performance was also a good lesson for us in team play.

Aware that you have many challenges ahead of you, I am confident that you will be able to overcome them", reads the message of congratulation by the Head of Serbian diplomacy.
