First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic congratulated the Serbian men's basketball team, the Serbian Olympic Committee and the Basketball Federation of Serbia on winning the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Rio.

You have delighted the citizens of Serbia with your excellent play and dedication. You are the winners of the Olympic Games, together with the women's volleyball and basketball teams, kayakers, Stefanek, Spanovic and all the members of our teams not individually mentioned, but who have honourably represented our country.

The Finals of the Games, which I watched together with my American counterpart Kyle Scott, was magnificent. All our citizens will remember your fighting and competitive spirits.

To be honest, I know that there are many challenges ahead of you, and I am sure that you will overcome them all," says the Foreign Minister's letter of congratulations.
