FOREIGN MINISTER JEREMIC VISITS SOUTH AFRICA

Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic travels tomorrow to the Republic of South Africa where he has been invited to attend the ceremony of inauguration of that country’s new President Jacob Zuma.

During his visit to Pretoria, Minister Jeremic will meet with top leaders of South Africa. He is also scheduled to have a large number of bilateral meetings with heads of delegations attending the inauguration, primarily the highest officials of African countries.

South Africa, which has not recognized Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence, is among the prominent members of the African Union that extended significant support to the Republic of Serbia in its defence of its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the international arena.

Minister Jeremic will discuss with South African state leadership bilateral relations, as well as the possibilities for economic cooperation.
