On 22 May 2016, the Association for the promotion of music exchange between Serbia and Japan, headed by President E. Tsunozaki, organized a sales humanitarian Bazaar on the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, with the aim to raise funds for the future activities of the Association, while a part of the proceeds was intended for the victims of the earthquake that hit Kumamoto this year.

The employees of the Serbian Embassy contributed significantly to the organisation of the Bazaar, and the very event was used to promote Serbia and to introduce the visitors to its customs and cultural activities to be organised at the Embassy. With the help from the small Serbian community in Tokyo, the Embassy also organised sales of traditional Serbian specialties at the Bazaar.
