On 21 May 2016, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia sponsored and the Serbian Cultural and Artistic Society "Africa" hosted a final event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Serbia and the Republic of South Africa (RSA) at the level of Ambassadors.

The formal gathering, held at the prestigious Bryanston Country Club, was attended by more than 180 respectable representatives of the Serbian diaspora, including the representative of the RSA MFA. In his address, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Mr Bozin Nikolic reminded of the history of relations between the two countries, but also of the good cooperation between the Embassy and the Cultural and Artistic Society "Africa". The event was financed through ticket sales and donations received from the respectable members of the diaspora.
