On 23 May 2016, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Berlin organised a presentation of the collection of works titled "Serbs and Germans in the 20th Century – in the Shadows of Official Politics", edited by Prof Dr Gabriella Schubert.

The book's promotion commenced with an opening speech by the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in Berlin, H.E. Dr Dusan Crnogorcevic, who underlined that the relations between Serbia and Germany had a long and diverse past: "The cooperation between the two countries cannot be observed solely from the political aspect. Many creative individuals, artists and scientists have shaped the relations between Serbia and Germany, giving them a distinctive feature. It is essential to give proper credit to these individuals and emphasise their commitment". H.E. Dr Crnogorcevic thanked the authors of the articles from the third volume of the book about the relations between Serbs and Germans, underlining that it was them who made an invaluable contribution to the better understanding between the two cultures.
