First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Peter Ptassek, German Federal Foreign Office Representative for EU Basic Issues, Common Policies and Strategic Coordination and Deputy Director of the European Department at the German Federal Foreign Office, currently on a two-day visit to the Republic of Serbia.

Minister Dacic evaluated the bilateral relations as good, and emphasized Serbia's readiness to develop and promote its overall cooperation with Germany. He informed Mr Ptassek of the situation regarding the opening of Chapter 23, stressing the significance of Serbia's continuous progress in the negotiation process for its EU membership, as well as Germany's support to Serbia's European integration process.

Ptassek agreed that the bilateral relations between Serbia and Germany were good. He emphasized that Germany supported Serbia's EU integration process, and underlined that Germany would continue to assist and support Serbia in its negotiation process.
