With the support of the Basketball Federations of Russia and Moscow, from 6 to 8 May 2016, a basketball tournament for boys under 12 was held in Moscow, titled the "Friendship Cup", in which clubs from the Republic of Serbia ("Red Star", "Partizan", "Sava") and the Russian Federation ("CSKA", "Trinta", "Gloria") took part.

The Embassy of the Republicof Serbiain Moscowparticipated actively in the organization of this event, which aimed to promote the cooperation between the two countries in the area of sports. In the final game, held in the "Luzhniki" sports hall, KK "Red Star" beat "Gloria". Ambassador of the Republicof Serbiain Moscow Dr. Slavenko Terzic presented the winner's cup and medals to the winning team players, and, together with former basketball player S. Tarakanov, addressed the guests with an appropriate speech.
