The celebration of the tenth anniversary of Chicago and Belgrade sister cities was held at the Preston Bradley Hall of the Chicago Cultural Centre.

The celebration was organised by Chicago Sister Cities International, that is, by the Cooperation Committee with Belgrade. Messrs. Desko Nikitovic and Ljubisa Milicic, co-chairmen of the Belgrade Committee, addressed the audience, while Ms. Lisa Kohnke, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Global Affairs in the Office of the Mayor, addressed the audience on behalf of the City of Chicago, and read a welcoming letter from Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Consul-Gérant then read a welcome letter which Belgrade Mayor Siniša Malisent for the occasion of the celebration. Violinist Stefan Milenkovic, folk ensemble "Božur", Serbian choir "Branko Radičević" and Goran Ivanovic Trio participated in the programme. The MC of the programme was Tanja Babic, presenter and host of the ABC7 morning show. The works of art by painter Gordana Nenadovic were exhibited at the Preston Bradley Hall.
