First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a farewell call from Ambassador of the United Mexican States to the Republic of Serbia Jose Evaristo Ramon Xilotl Ramirez.

Minister Dacic thanked Ambassador Xilotl Ramirez for his previous engagement and contribution made to the improvement of overall bilateral relations. He expressed particular appreciation for the principled support of Mexico to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and its vital interests in Kosovo and Metohija. In this context, the Minister conveyed that Serbia particularly appreciated the fact that Mexico voted against membership of so-called Kosovo in UNESCO.

The interlocutors expressed their satisfaction with the excellent political relations and understanding on all issues of importance for the two countries, especially bearing in mind that this year marks 70 years of diplomatic relations between Serbia and Mexico. They underlined their readiness to continue constructive political dialogue at all levels and the creation of appropriate conditions for concrete steps to enhance the cooperation in all fields, especially in the economic sphere.
