Minister Dacic meets with the newly appointed Ambassador of Myanmar

ambasador mjanmara_1020162First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the Republic of Serbia, Myo Aye.

Minister Dacic expressed satisfaction with the traditionally friendly relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and was thankful for that country's principled support of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia and the position on the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo.

Both sides ascertained interest in further intensification of political dialogue through exchange of visits at all levels and by strengthening the bilateral cooperation, with special emphasis on investment and economic cooperation.

Ambassador Myo Aye underlined that he attached great importance to strengthening cooperation between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Republic of Serbia, and that during his term of office he would be dedicated to the friendly relations between the two countries so that they could reach their full potential.
