Statement by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic |

"There is no better indicator of nervousness than the need to fabricate. It was exactly this need that was demonstrated by the outgoing Croatian Defence Minister when he concocted that Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and I were top government officials at the time of the war in Croatia.
That is why Mr. care-taker Government Minister could think about the reasons for being nervous. Is it because of the then war or because of Serbia's outright response to his wartime rhetoric. Whatever the reasons may be, all I can say to him is that Serbia will continue to insist on peace in the region and that it will also defend its national interests. Croatia and Serbia, thank God, know to recognize fake patriots, to thank them and move forward in pursuance of peace and cooperation where any sabre-rattling is needless." |
