2522015 dacic_washingtonThe OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić, today condemned the recent spate of terrorist attacks in Turkey, Egypt, Thailand and Tunisia, offering his deepest condolences to the victims, their families and governments affected, and called for a redoubling of efforts to address the conditions that lead to terrorism.

"We must stand united and in solidarity against this barbarous scourge that is terrorism," said Dačić. "Because terrorism strikes indiscriminately, we must all work together to combat it by addressing the deeper, underlying causes of the problem, fostering tolerance and respect for diversity, and upholding human rights and the rule of law. These are key to the OSCE's comprehensive approach to countering terrorism."

Turkey is one of the OSCE's 57 participating States, while Egypt, Thailand and Tunisia are OSCE Partners for Co-operation.
