The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić, and OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier today condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks targeting several locations in the French capital, Paris, that seem to have resulted in killing and injuring dozens. They expressed their deep condolences to the victims, their families and the French government and people, and wished a rapid recovery to the injured, as well as a speedy and safe release of all the hostages.

"We utterly condemn this series of odious and cowardly acts of terrorism against civilians and the indiscriminate violence that hit your country. Rest assured all OSCE participating states stand by you at this hour, sharing the belief that no political cause can ever justify such heinous acts", said Dačić.

"The shock we feel in the face of such terror and extreme violence strengthens our resolve not to let them endanger the fundamental principles on which the OSCE and our societies rest: democracy, inclusiveness and human rights, which are guarantors of security and peace for all," said Dačić and Zannier.

"The OSCE stands united against all forms of violent extremism, and we firmly believe co-operation is the best response to the dangers our societies are facing."
