First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Ambassador of Malta Peter Toledo.

Minister Dacic expressed gratitude for the support of Malta to Serbia on its EU path and asked Ambassador Toledo to convey to Malta’s Foreign Minister a kind request to support ourproposal for postponing the vote on the admission of “Kosovo” to UNESCO, to be discussed at the forthcoming General Conference of UNESCO pending the resolution of the issue in the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina.

Ambassador Toledo informed that Malta would assume the half-yearly Presidency of the EU Council in January 2017.

Both sides agreed that bilateral relations were good and demonstrated interest for their further improvement.
