First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Ambassador Ernst Reichel, Plenipotentiary of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs for South-Eastern Europe, Turkey and the EFTA countries.

During the talks they discussed the current issues in the domain of bilateral relations, Serbia’s European integration process, as well as international activities. Both sides expressed readiness for strengthening their communication and exchange of opinions, aimed at avoiding any misunderstandings that might lead to the public being misinformed.

Ambassador Reichel stressed that Germany supported Serbia’s European integration and maintained its position that four chapters in the negotiation process on the country’s EU membership may be opened soon.

Minister Dacic reiterated Serbia’s commitment to the promotion and development of overall relations with Germany, one of its key partners on the path towards full EU membership.
