The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia sent a protest note to the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Belgrade, Mr. Gordan Markotic over an incident which occurred in the area of Berkasovo-Bapska border crossing point on 19 October 2015.

In the incident, several Croatian police officers crossed into Serbian territory and used physical force against journalists reporting on the developments at the said border crossing point, and in so doing violated the country’s territorial integrity.

The competent Serbian authorities are willing to share all relevant information on the incident with the Croatian side, believing that similar incidents will not be repeated in the future.
