Republic of Albania’s Ambassador Ilir Bocka was urgently summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tonight to be handed a diplomatic note protesting against a serious incident in which the national football team of the Republic of Serbia was attacked.

Despite the fact that the match was of high risk, the incident proves serious lapses in the organization of the event by the competent authorities of the Republic of Albania.

Therefore, the Republic of Serbia expects and demands that Serbia national football team be allowed fully safe further sojourn in Albania and to play the match without any hindrance.

The Republic of Serbia expects that the perpetrators of the incident will be found soon and punished appropriately.
