First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today Arne Bjornstad, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Serbia.

It was mutually assessed in the conversation that the friendly relations between Serbia and Norway would continue to be promoted. They also discussed Serbia’s progress towards membership of the European Union and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Minister Dacic was grateful for the humanitarian and development assistance extended by Norway on a continuous basis, in particular for the most recent grant aid to address the crisis following the huge influx and transit of refugees from the Middle East region.

Norway’s Ambassador Bjornstad conveyed his country’s support for the reform processes contributing to the successful European integration of Serbia and expressed the intention to help enhance the relations in the areas of economy and culture during his mission in Belgrade.
