The Ambassadors briefed CiO Dacic on the latest escalation of violence and on the discussions they had with Armenian and Azerbaijani officials. He strongly condemned the recent escalation, offering condolences to the families of victims and calling on all parties to exercise maximum restraint in avoiding violence and work on de-escalation. CiO Dacic fully supported the work of the Minsk Group and Ambassador Kasprzyk himself and reiterated his call for resuming negotiations on a lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and for the implementation of confidence-building measures between the parties to the conflict.

Holding of the next Presidential Summit, as already discussed, would be a good step in this direction, said Dacic.
