Consular consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and theMinistry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey were held on the level of assistant ministers for consular affairs, in Belgrade, on 17 September 2015.

During the consultations, views were exchanged on mutual consular cooperation and other current issues of common interest. The two sides agreed on further cooperation and regular exchange of experience in the consular area, particularly in offering consular protection to citizens in emergencies and extraordinary situations, as well as in the conditions of growing irregular migrations. They noted the need for focusing on the modernization of consular work
and continued enhancement of the quality of consular protection and services. The consular relations and cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey were assessed as positive.

The consular consultations were substantive, held in the spirit of friendly relations, expressing mutual readiness for further promotion of consular cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Turkey.
