Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Veljko Odalovic received today Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Lee Do-hoon in connection with the convening of the OSCE Ministerial Council, scheduled to take place in Belgrade on 3-4 December.
MFA Secretary General Odalovic informed Ambassador Lee of the already undertaken activities related to the organization and the need to ensure high technical standards of the facilities for an event of this kind. Ambassador Lee told SG Odalovic that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (MOFA) decided to donate the IT equipment needed for the Ministerial Council Meeting. Furthermore, he commended the hitherto Chairmanship role of FDPM and MFA Ivica Dacic and expressed the wish for the Head of Serbian diplomacy to visit the Republic of Korea next year to pass on the OSCE Chairmanship experiences. Ambassador Lee conveyed the desire of his country to host a conference entitled “Security in Eastern Asia” in September. The Secretary General was thankful for the decision of the Korean MOFA to donate the IT equipment to the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for use by the forthcoming Ministerial Council, saying that the donated equipment would be distributed in the MFA and other governmental authorities after the Belgrade Ministerial Council. Also, Secretary General Odalovic supported Ambassador Lee’s idea that Minister Dacic visited Seoul after the Serbian OSCE Chairmanship came to a close next year. |
