The Republic of Serbia expresses its pleasure over the reaching of an agreement between the major political forces in the Republic of Macedonia.

This agreement primarily contributes to the internal stability of Macedonia, and that of the region as a whole.

The Republic of Serbia expresses its hope that the agreement will be observed by all the relevant political forces, to the benefit of the people of the Republic of Macedonia.

Moreover, we find very important the fact that the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia will continue to work in its full capacity to make its contribution to the implementation of the aforementioned agreement.

Finally, we hail the successful engagement of European Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who played a key role in arriving at an agreement, and the engagement of MEPs who substantially contributed to the positive outcome of negotiations.
