Minister Dacic and Mary Warlick discuss energy security of both Serbia and the region

vorlikFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the State Department Bureau of Energy Resources Mary Warlick, who is visiting Serbia within her tour of the region.

Energy security of the Republic of Serbia and the Western Balkan region was the main topic of the discussions. In this context, Ambassador Warlick conveyed the US support for the diversification of gas and other energy sources, which was assessed as being important for the long-term stability of all the countries in the region.

The Serbian Foreign Minister highlighted that it was equally important for Serbia and the region to ensure the stability of long-term energy supplies. In this regard, Serbia stands ready to take part in projects that would contribute to this effect, and welcomes any support and assistance offered in this area.
