Kardinal-KohFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the President of the Pontiff’s Council for Christian Unity Promotion, Cardinal Kurt Koch of the Holy See.

They discussed, during the talks, the issues related to the bilateral relations, including further development of cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Holy See, in the area of higher education.

The Serbian Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the principled position of the Holy See regarding non-recognition of the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo and its support to the preservation of Christian heritage sites in Kosovo and Metohija.

They noted that the bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Holy See were good, expressing an interest in cooperation in international organizations, particularly in the OSCE framework, and underlining the importance of continuing the ecumenical dialogue.
