Minister Dacic had talks with the Ambassador of Macedonia

dacic-amb. makedonijeFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia in Belgrade, Vera JovanovskaTipko.

Minister Dacic underlined during the talks that Serbia and its leadership firmly supported the stability and the European path of Macedonia, and that the recent developments in Kumanovo were clearly assessed as acts of terrorism. Serbia also supported stability in Macedonia as the OSCE Chair. Minister Dacic conveyed Serbia’s expectations that stability in Macedonia, which was in the interest of the region, would be reached through an open and constructive dialogue.

Ambassador Vera Jovanovska informed Minister Dacic of the current internal situation in Macedonia. She assessed the security situation as stable and that all political factors agreed that the current problems could be resolved solely through dialogue, which was underway.

The interlocutors appraised the relations between Serbia and Macedonia as good and dynamic, that there was a number of areas where cooperation could be further intensified, including agriculture, infrastructure, tourism, energy, etc. They also confirmed the commitment of the two countries to cooperate in regional initiatives and projects.
