First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today the delegation of the World Jewish Restitution Organization (WJRO), visiting the Republic of Serbia on 11-12 May to attend the "Holocaust and Restitution" international conference and have talks with Serbian officials.

The key issues discussed at the meeting were related to the Terezin Declaration, of which the Republic of Serbia is a signatory party, and the adoption of the Law on restitution for Holocaust victims, especially with regard to Holocaust victims with no legal heirs.

Minister Dacic stressed this was a complex issue, noting the Republic of Serbia's strong political will and readiness for cooperation and realization of activities in the interest of the WJRO, aiming for justice.

Representatives of the World Jewish Restitution Organization positively assessed the activities of the Republic of Serbia in this regard and expressed their expectation that Serbia would remain active and involved in solving open issues in the future as well.
