banka SEFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of SerbiaIvica Dacic talked today in Belgrade with Vice-Governor of the Council of Europe Development Bank Mikołaj Dowgielewicz. Current cooperation was considered on the occasion, with particular emphasis on the implementation of the Regional Housing Program, intended to provide for the refugees in the region. RHP is managed by the CoE Development Bank.

Mr. Mikołaj Dowgielewicz assessed that cooperation with the Serbian authorities had so far been good and that he hoped such a trend would maintain the momentum. Mr. Dowgielewicz also underscored how important it was to keep drawing the global public attention to the issue of regional housing for the refugees in the region, because the implementation of this programme was directly linked with the contributions made by the donor countries.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic pointed out that the Republic of Serbia attached great importance to the implementation of the programme, because, apart from providing for the refugees, it was also significant for the regional reconciliation process, for which reason the Ministry would remain fully engaged on this issue, in the domain of its jurisdiction.

Minister Dacic took the opportunity to reiterate his gratitude over the financial aid extended to Serbia in 2014 by the Bank for post-flooding rehabilitation.
