frank-valter-stajnmajer-4First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a telephone conversation today with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Minister Steinmeier informed OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ivica Dacic of yesterday evening’s meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Normandy Format and the development of the situation concerning the Ukrainian crisis, focusing in particular on the role of the OSCE Monitoring Mission and the Trilateral Contact Group.

Both Ministers called on all parties to respect the ceasefire and withdrawal of heavy weapons, requiring an unrestricted OSCE access to the points of conflict. It is necessary to set up working groups for the implementation of Minsk Agreements, of which the group for policy themes will have a highly important task of initiating the political process.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ivica Dacic scheduled a Ministerial-level Meeting of the OSCE Troika, comprising Serbia, Germany and Switzerland, for 28 April 2015, in Belgrade.
