First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Serbia Eldar Hasanov.

The interlocutors discussed current issues related to the bilateral relations between the two countries, focusing on their economic and energy cooperation. It was noted that the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to Baku would be an opportunity for further strengthening the existing close relations, in accordance with the Declaration on Friendship and Strategic Cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Hasanov condemned the recent statement by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama concerning the unification of Albania and Kosovo, assessing it as inappropriate and detrimental to regional cooperation and implementation of strategic projects in South Eastern Europe.
