chep1The two interlocutors reaffirmed mutual interest in the further development of bilateral cooperation, particularly economic cooperation, and exchanged views on the most important international topics. Emphasis was also put on the preparation of the upcoming high-level visits.

Further steps to be taken in relation to possible FIAT car exports to the area of the Euro-Asian economic and customs union have been agreed upon.

Another topic of today’s talks was also the crisis in and around Ukraine and the role of Serbia, as the country holding the OSCE Chairmanship, in the context of strengthening the presence of this Organization on the ground and normalization of the situation.

The Russian side expressed satisfaction at the recently announced attendance by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic of the ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of victory over fascism/defeat of Nazism, to be held in Moscow on 9 May 2015.
